For the past 2 terms, we have been working on a miny vice we had to cut the right size do the markings and then use engineers blue to make the two holes you can see up top. once we finished that we drilled 2 holes on each piece but one hole is bigger than the other one. we then had to file the top to make it curved once we finished that we had to do the pole but I didn't get up to that part I was too busy talking and helping others am I proud of my work no not really I didn't make the effort to put in.

What I have learned from the lathe is it's not hard I thought it would have been but once you try it gets easier and easier.

Treaty of Waitangi essay

This essay will argue that the treaty of Waitangi has many reasons why signed.

Historians argue that understanding the causes of significant events is much more important than just remembering dates, facts, and figures about things in the past. Signed in 1840, the Treaty of Waitangi is an agreement between Māori—Tangata Whenua of Aotearoa—and the British. The treaty was signed for some reasons such as Land, Muskets, and Trading for food to get those muskets if the treaty wasn't signed there would be a lot of Fights, Prostitutes, and Wars.

without the treaty, everything would be madness. without the treaty, there would be a lot of fighting prostitution and drinking between Maoris and British men. There wouldn't be any land to share No items to be traded and no equal rights. There was more Maoris than English there was alcohol use and prostitution and no treaty to agree on. Without the treaty, there wasn't really any you could do anything without asking or getting in trouble but now there is a treaty you have laws and you get in trouble and there are laws they both agree on. The missionaries wanted to protect the Maoris and their rights
Because of the treaty, it was good for the Maoris since they got their rights and land such as buying the land their religion and scared items. The Maori rights and the missionaries had a huge impact on the treaty.

The musket wars killed around 20,000 people and the land boundaries had changed as the result of this Musket wars gained trade through the Pakeha. While the musket wars were occurring there were no rules and The Maori people had an advantage because of those weapons they had what they wanted. The musket wars caused violence and deaths since there were no rules around or laws around that.

Declaration of independence. Was there anything in the plan before the treaty The declaration od independence was signed in 1835 in the hand of James busby. The Maori could trade Legal terms because of the flag, they had made a deal to sign the declaration. The Maori as had been agreed in this declaration so everyone had rules and things they wanted and need. The treaty was signed so everyone could have the respect and things they wanted and to share the land without the treaty there would be violence and no rules.

Without the treaty we wouldn't have the thing we have today.
When there wasn't a treaty the ships would sail in and the pakeha and the Maori would get drunk and start fights and use people for prostitution then there would be killing for items when James busby came up with an idea of making a declaration of independence it still wasn't enough. The English wanted to protect the Maori so they decided to make the declaration of independence so they could both agree on. This is why the treaty was signed for them to be safe.

Holiday gone wrong..

‘’It's the time of year to go on holiday '’’.They jump on the internet and find some tickets and google where they want to go for A month they look at A place called Hawaii it's so beautiful they say looks so peaceful and the water is clear they book 4 tickets for them and there 2 kids we leave on Tuesday we have 2 days to get our things ready.

Its Monday morning 9:30 and the kids start school at 10:00 Kids are yous ready to go to school one more day the kids come running down the stairs to get there bags and go into the car. They are driving to school once they get to school There dad says see yous after school has a lovely day the kids say Bye dad and they run to the school office. And the dad drives off and goes to work while the mother stays home and packs everyone's bags and cleans the house. 7 hours later the kids finally finished school and they wait for their dad to pick them up they see their dad and run towards the car and hops in the car and they start talking about their day at school. 

Arriving to the airport they are all excited they can't wait to get to the place the amazing place called Hawaii they call jump out the car lock the car and hide the keys. They start walking towards the airport they go through the bag check and towards the plane once they sit down they start watching a movie called Transformers. ‘’Pilot says we're leaving in 20 seconds and starts counting down 20,19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9,8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, take off’’ the plane is 90 degrees and it's really bumpy they say but it gets smooth once is straight.

Holiday Gone terribly wrong 

It's been 3 hours traveling and  the plane seems to be going down the pilot says ‘’WE RAN OUT OF FUEL WE'RE GOING DOWN’’everyone seems there to head off babies crying mums and dads crying everything is a disaster the Kind family did not want this to happen all they wanted was to have a holiday with their 2 10 and 12-year-old kids. The plane finally hits the water and suddenly there's a banging noise and they all see a fin a shark someone yells. 100 people are already dead there are only 200 people left the shark finds a way inside no one can get out they either die

Once Upon A time, there was a Shark that is new to the city and he had no friends. He lived in a Shark tank and everything was different for him there was a lot of food to eat. But he had A special talent and that was Doing front and backflips out of the water. But his problem was bigger than ever since he came from a shark tank he thought he had to be nice all the time to other creatures that want to kill that shark and he didn't know what to do but he made a friend and that friend told him ''defend your self and eat fish when you feel hungry''.

Minecraft is better than fortnite

Minecraft is better than Fortnite because Fortnite is dying and Minecraft is going up and you can do a lot more things on Minecraft than Fortnite such as going mining to get diamonds gold and iron. In Fortnite all you can do is mine trees and stone and metal but you cant mine down there's no ending in the game expect to win and then playing again but Minecraft you can kill a lot of animals and enemies

Unexpected Wealth

Time to clean my garage I say to myself I'm moving all the boxes with old toys and clothes I had when I was younger and behind one of the boxes There was a Nike shoebox and I thought there were shoes in it but I was completely wrong. Inside the shoebox, there were $ 40,000 dollars with  A note inside the note said.

You are wondering why there is a whole bunch of cash inside this Ill tell you why but promise me do not tell anyone this cash was from a 1990 bank robbery that I have done in 1990 I have put it here to collect it but I can't I'm in jail now so The money is yours. I robed the bank over the street where you are I'm not sure why but I needed the money and I thought I would get it back but they found me across the street running but why in a shoebox I recently just brought Nike shoes and I put the money in there and ran to a random house which is yours now I threw the box and ran.

Critical literacy Adverts

In English today we have been learning adverts about people drinking and what could happen.

video 1 was about A few friends drinking and one friend being sober but betrays his friends and sneaks away to have a few drinks and when he drives he crashes with his friend in the car while drunk. 

Video 2 was about A man drinking and having a dream about his friend dying and was drink and driving but he stopped his friend and told him to stay at his place. 

Video 3 was about one person drinking while everyone was kind of sober but drinking at the same time and that one person making a dumb mistake and swinging a little kid around while drunk and probably killing the child it was about when you are drunk you don't know what you are doing and you don't think.

One day I was walking with my friends Kayne and Jireh we were walking around town and we see a Jewelry store And Kayne says ''Wanna steal something boys''. Me and Jireh Say ''No'' but Kayne Goes in any way and we walk in to see what he will take we whisper don't do it but he grabs a Rolex and 4 diamond with emerald necklaces And shoves them in his pocket and he seems really happy about it but the store owner sees the things in his pocket The store owner Yells ''HEY COME HERE'' but Kayne runs and we run with him because we would have gotten caught for nothing we convicted. Kayne is till running and We hear police cars driving towards us We say stop Kayne you cant to this he stops and throws us the items and runs and it was too late the police has caught me and Jireh we get shoved in the car and we wonder why did he do this to us. We get to the station and get put in cells and the officer says Why did you steal them? and that's all he said to us we didn't get to respond we are thinking Why did we Run?

Gymnastics

Over the past few weeks, we have been doing gymnastics. and have been working on my back and front rolls.

What did I do well? I did front flips on the trampoline that went well and did my front and back rolls. I know how to do them I need to have my hands nearby shoulders 

What do I need to work on most things such as the beam and walking on the beam and  front flips on the trampoline

How can I improve keep trying and not giving up on it I need to make sure I have my hands near my shoulders and lean back with my hands for the back roll.
