Tomorrow when the war began

What are the advantages and disadvantages of first-person narration?

Disadvantages
She had a lot of people yelling at her yelling ideas at him
They had to ring their parents

Advantages
She has a friend to back her up

She got to write a book

They all sat with each other

What kind of story do you think Ellie is going to tell? Uses evidence from the text to support your answers.
It says they are going to a camp to sit down and talk

What set of skills do these characters have that convince their parents that they can ‘go bush’ independently. Find examples for three characters.
Convincing words she had to convince her dad and mum to let her take the car they had to ask who they are going with she asked her friends if they wanted to come.

Kevin He wasn't so keen on going but went anyway

Ellie, she convinced her dad to let her go and drive the car and her dad knows she's6 a good driver
Fiona, she sounded amazed when she asked her if she wanted to go with her and she told her that her mum and dad want questions and want to call her mum

What picture of Kevin do we get in chapter 3?
He as a habit of breaking things instead of going to trees and cutting wood so he's a sacred boy

What does Ellie liken Fi to? Do you think this is a fair assessment of her character? Use examples from the text to support your thinking

Yes because of shes the one who wants to organize the camp with her friends for a few nights in the book it says we haven't been out to the river In age's so let's go there said, Corrie,

Ellie claims that ‘Hell’ is only a label and that people label things all the time, often ignoring or overlooking certain labeled places or things. She then comes to the conclusion that ‘Hell was people’. Is she right? What’s your opinion, on labeling and Hell?
well I haven't seen if people were hell so I don't believe it is

What was especially peculiar about the planes that flew over Hell? ‘Their ------, their ------, their----- frightened me.’ Do these characteristics have any significance?

Tomorrow when the war began

How do you think this story will be written?
I think the story will be written in old fashion words because of how old the front looks and how the picture looks

Why do you think the story is entitled as it is?
when a few friends go somewhere and come back with a big war going on because of the title when the war began

Where do you think the story will take place?
In Australia and they, go camping then come back with a disaster

What time period do you think the story is set in?
back in the old days and in the afternoon or midnight

Guns and ships were purchased and taken to Europe. african slaves were kidnaped
What's the Middle Passage is?
Gun and materials traded for humans. They have been put on slave ships and sent to America

What's the Third Passage is?
Materials like cotton and tobacco that slaves picked were sent to Europe and sold

What I found interesting?
I found interesting that they traded guns for people and that they all had to fit in one boat all side by side and that the chiefs and people were cruel and they got the slaves to do all of the work for them

Critical literacy reflection

Critical literacy reflection

What do you think critical literacy is
I think critical literacy is focusing on a type of project that you answer questions about it learning what the topic is and doing other topics about critical literacy.

What did you learn about critical literacy
I learned that you have to do a lot of learning but understand what you are doing and doing questions

what did you find challenging during that topic
I found challenging that I had to write down a lot of words in my blog and had to find the correct information

How will you use critical literacy skills in real life
if you are doing a job and you have to look at the video and answer them you will know what to do because you have already learned and hard thinking.

what are you looking forward to in English this year
Activity and learning new things I haven't learned before and undert]standing the things we will learn.
