Tomorrow when the war began

What are the advantages and disadvantages of first-person narration?

Disadvantages
She had a lot of people yelling at her yelling ideas at him
They had to ring their parents

Advantages
She has a friend to back her up

She got to write a book

They all sat with each other

What kind of story do you think Ellie is going to tell? Uses evidence from the text to support your answers.
It says they are going to a camp to sit down and talk

What set of skills do these characters have that convince their parents that they can ‘go bush’ independently. Find examples for three characters.
Convincing words she had to convince her dad and mum to let her take the car they had to ask who they are going with she asked her friends if they wanted to come.

Kevin He wasn't so keen on going but went anyway

Ellie, she convinced her dad to let her go and drive the car and her dad knows she's6 a good driver
Fiona, she sounded amazed when she asked her if she wanted to go with her and she told her that her mum and dad want questions and want to call her mum

What picture of Kevin do we get in chapter 3?
He as a habit of breaking things instead of going to trees and cutting wood so he's a sacred boy

What does Ellie liken Fi to? Do you think this is a fair assessment of her character? Use examples from the text to support your thinking

Yes because of shes the one who wants to organize the camp with her friends for a few nights in the book it says we haven't been out to the river In age's so let's go there said, Corrie,

Ellie claims that ‘Hell’ is only a label and that people label things all the time, often ignoring or overlooking certain labeled places or things. She then comes to the conclusion that ‘Hell was people’. Is she right? What’s your opinion, on labeling and Hell?
well I haven't seen if people were hell so I don't believe it is

What was especially peculiar about the planes that flew over Hell? ‘Their ------, their ------, their----- frightened me.’ Do these characteristics have any significance?

I found challenging that I had to write down a lot of words in my blog and had to find the correct information

How will you use critical literacy skills in real life
if you are doing a job and you have to look at the video and answer them you will know what to do because you have already learned and hard thinking.

what are you looking forward to in English this year
Activity and learning new things I haven't learned before and undert]standing the things we will learn.

I am reading the text because its about Christmas and what they did if they had no money and it is interesting

Is the text fair
yes it is fair because she tells you that she can't do Christmas but made up an idea and you people at home can do one instead of buying presents

What is the text about and how do you know
the text is about this mum who is writing a story about Christmas and she can't afford it so she has an idea because she sees a trolly and she was like I can take something off and make a trolly like I had when  was young

What does the genre belong to

After all of that, they mixed all of the ingredients and made the patties they put it in the oven and set to fan bake and turned it on to 180  to cook then they finished and cleaned everything and ate their food.

What we learned
My group learned how to make chicken and rice patties also they learned what to put in then and how long to cook them for and what to set the oven on also where all the things go and the last thing is how to hold things without getting hurt.
