Wonder

Explain how the point of view in part 2 is different from that in part 1? Do they match up?
Part 1 is about August and part 2 is about via

In at least a paragraph, describe the challenges do you think Via might face being Auggie’s sister?
The challenges I think are everyone is around Auggie not her she has to put up with all the bullying around her she doesn't get much attention when she tries to sleep Auggie is too loud and that if she played soccer they will only see 1 out of 10 games because of August

Via says “August is the Sun.” Explain what she means and why she feels this way?
He is the one that gets all of the attention and her mum and dad are the planted orbiting around him like he is the only one

Do you agree with Via that she and her parents have made a mistake by always trying to make August feel like he is normal? Is this a problem? Explain.
No, because he needs to know what he is so then people don't look at him funny and that he gets to see the real him, not the lieing parents

Why does Via go by Olivia at high school? How is Via finding a high school?
She is saying he she doing good at school but I think that she isn't because she is lieing about she needing help or asking for answers

Describe Via as a character? Do you empathise with her?
She is a quiet person and who likes school and feel left out and really likes her school work

What do you think will happen to August when he returns to school?
I think he will get along fine with all his friends but people will still look at him weird and will still talk behind him

What are the odds of Via having a child that looks like August? Do you think these are good odds? Explain
People won't want to hang around her or look at her brother or when they go out people could leave the table or next to them

Explore the character, Miranda? Why did she call August at the end of Part 2? Explain
She told  him  she misses her

What was Summer's initial reaction to August's face? Why did they become friends?
She acts like he is a normal and people call him freaks but they don't know him well

Star Wars is one of Auggie’s passions. Why do you think this is? Do you see any reasons for Auggie to identify with these characters, or to aspire to be like them?
Because he is like a Jedi

What questions did Julian ask August and why did August want to slide under the desk? Explain why Julian asked those questions?
The principal Mr TushMan told them they could

Mr Browne’s September Precept was 'When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind'. Do you agree with this precept? Explain.
yes and choose to Be kind because it is better than being right

In the chapter One to Ten, August is feeling mad with his mother but he's not sure why. Explain why you think he was mad?
Because of Auggie's mum lied to him

August invited his whole class to his birthday party but not many kids came. Why do you think they didn't go?
Because of his looks

August says he has an 'Aversion' to getting his picture taken. What is an aversion?
It is mostly a phobia but he calls it an aversion

Why does Auggie have an aversion to having his picture taken?
Why does no one want to touch August? How do you think this makes him feel?
Because when people look at him they look away and his look I feel like he feels left out and sad

Did your opinion of Jack Will change after August overheard him talking to Julian? Explain.

No, because Jack was talking behind his back

Do you think August will go back to school? Predict what will happen next?

Maybe because he has friends now but no because of people talk behind his back
